A vibrant loving two year old swiped from a beach in the jaws of an alligator, crushed to death in an instant, and he is mourned by a nation. Lane will forever live in the minds of a world, shared grief over social media, for the desperate tragedy that is death. None can imagine this child’s horrifying screams as the alligator took him, and yet… His death is not unlike those performed every day at abortion clinics the world over…
“As soon as I heard the story I immediately thought what’s the difference between a happy and unsuspecting baby splashing in the water and a baby splashing in amniotic fluid. Um… none. Then I waited to see if the body was going to be found, rather than devoured, and if so it became nothing but a throwaway baby. Just like an abortion.” ~John Richards
Life crushed out of a baby before birth by a doctor who has purportedly taken an oath to save life. And yet a crushing blow to the child salvages organs to be ripped from the tiny body before the heart stops pumping, sold to the highest bidder.
Certainly not to the parents of the two year old stolen away from them by the jaws of an alligator on the beach at Disney in Florida. They know the value. They’d held him in loving arms, gently cared for his every need, and now they know loss.
Does the parent know loss after an abortion?
Women who understand a life was ripped from their womb suffer endless horror, often nightmares for decades – or a lifetime – and eventually on many levels rejection of their own lives, as the horror of what they’ve done is revealed to them.
Men, who know they were going to be a father, who lose a child to abortion often never forgive the woman who made that choice. And women who are forced by the father, to abort their child, never forgive him for that. Lives are ruined by the choice to abort a child… And the torment is often silent.
And a baby is dead.
A few days back, a young child fell into the cage of a gorilla at a zoo, and the gorilla was shot, after several moments of risking the child. The decision was made as quickly as possible and a marksman was ready (the zoo keeps them on staff) to protect the child. I couldn’t even count the number of people who were angry that they zoo had shot the gorilla, instead of allowing him to kill the child.
When did life cease to have meaning?
Where was I?
As a Christian, I’m aware that we each have souls and our lives have eternal meaning. I have many friends who are non-Christian, and most of them believe as do I, that human life comes before ANY other life form. We protect people first. Those same friends marched on Washington in 1972 at the onset of abortion legislation, baby lives matter.
Killing rampages at high schools, at bars, on military bases, and other places in our country are not a matter of gun control, but rather a matter that life has ceased to have the value it once had. There are people out there on this great big planet who believe life has no value.
Those people don’t even believe THEIR lives have value.
When did we become a throw-away society?
Fight for it! Protect it. Believe it. Because YOU matter.
