It will come as no surprise that the Clinton’s have a dark passed. Numerous women have come forward to allege how the former president Bill Clinton either sexually assaulted them, or engaged in illicit behavior, before and after he got married.
We know that even as president, Bill engaged in shameful behavior, as he had an affair with an intern.
The stories about his lurid passed almost seem like they’ve been pulled from a soap opera, if they weren’t happening in real life.
Perhaps the most shocking, and saddest, is the story of Danney Williams. The 30 year old man claims he is Bill Clinton’s illegitimate son. He has tried to reach out to the man for many years, only to be shut out. Even requests for an accurate DNA test–which would prove conclusively whether or not his story is true–have been denied.
Yet during this election, Danney has been trying to get attention, just so he can finally meet his father in person.
From Daily Mail:
The man claiming to be Bill Clinton’s abandoned son says that he has promised his five children that they will meet the former President – their ‘grandfather’ – one day.
Danney Williams, 30, uploaded a new video to YouTube on Tuesday in which he says he regularly tells his children that Clinton is his father.
‘Recently I have been telling my kids that their grandfather was the president of the United States and they’re amazed by it, they’re like “No. Is it for real?” I tell them yes, he is my father and I will make sure you get to meet him one day,’ he says in the video.
He also says that growing up, his family would receive ‘seven $100 bills’ each month by mail, but it all stopped when Clinton became president.
It’s nothing new for someone in the public eye to be targeted in this way. There are people out there who want to take advantage of a politician or famous celebrity, for money or other reasons.
However, Danney Williams has been seeking contact with Bill almost his entire life. Was this just another scam, you’d think he would have given up by now.
Instead, as a father of five, he is redoubling his efforts just to meet the man who gave him life.
There are obvious reasons why now, more than ever, Bill and Hillary wish to ignore Williams. Admitting that Bill has a secret love child—from his time with a prostitute—would certainly further hurt his image as well as his wife’s bid for the White House.
But that shouldn’t matter. If Danney really is Bill’s son, shouldn’t that come first? Shouldn’t he have a chance, at least once, to meet his father? Shouldn’t Bill put aside politics—for the first time in his life—to meet Danney?
