I came across this post on Facebook earlier – by my friend Marnie Marcus – and I’d like to explain it. First, her post:
Conservative Americans: “God, please send us someone who can fix our country.”
God: “Wonderful, thank you for asking for My help. Here’s a strict constitutionalist, a man of principles, a doctor and Congressman who has lived a moral life. He can help you restore your country to the principles of the Founders.”
Conservative Americans: “No, he doesn’t have enough charisma.
He’s boring and besides he doesn’t want to police the world. We want someone tougher.”
God: “Okay, how about this Mormon guy. He has principles – at least in his personal life. Granted, he doesn’t understand or abide by constitutional principles, but he’s never had an affair or done anything blatantly immoral. How about him?”
Conservative Americans: “No, he is one of those cult people. Besides, he’s really part of the system that created all this mess anyway.”
God: “Okay, so morality and adherence to Constitutional principles do not matter to you. You want an outsider with charisma who is tough. How about this tough, succeed-at-all-costs entrepreneur. He’s not the most moral person and he doesn’t really get Constitutional principles on the level of the first man I sent you, but you’ve made it clear you don’t care about that.
His ego is so big that if he says he’ll make America great again, his ego won’t let him fail. He’ll also be tough on your enemies. Give him a try… he can stop the bleeding. Then I really hope you’ll be open to someone with more principles and more understanding of the Constitution to take it from there.”
Conservative Americans: “No, he is too tough, too mean, too unprincipled — an openly unrepentant sinner. He’s a racist, sexist and xenophobe. We don’t want him.”
God: “Hmmmm… Not really sure why you asked for My help folks. You do know I ate with publicans and sinners – right?”
Now, the explanation:
Dr. Carson – the first example in her listing – wise man, incredible Doctor, and he had some great political ideas too. He had the message, but he lacked the one thing Conservative Americans wanted – CONSERVATIVISM. Yeah, it’s important to know the Constitution, and understand WHY the 2nd Amendment says “SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED”.
While most conservatives would have elected him anyway, because he stood strong on most conservative values, the Trumpster knocked him out early because Carson wasn’t loud and obnoxious. It wasn’t CONSERVATIVES who didn’t want Carson, but rather the rambunctious liberal cross-over voters who didn’t want quiet conservative Carson to be the head of the conservative party. A group of voters who WILL NOT VOTE CONSERVATIVE in the General Election, I might add. Their only reason for voting in the primary was to bring in the most LIBERAL candidate available to knock out conservative voters from the General.
Mitt Romney – the second guy in her listing – moral stand-up kind of man with values, business sense, and accountability up the wazzoo, including some ‘liberal leaning’ experience in political office. While the Conservative Americans were behind Romney, and supporting him, a small faction of Bible Thumpers had decided his Mormon roots were not worthy of their support, and the liberal faction of the party didn’t want his Conservative values, so at the General Election, they dumped him and ran back to their King Obama because – you know – black. And they played that racist fiddle until every drummer in America chimed in and any know-nothing voter in camp idiot jumped on the “He’s Black!” train and voted for Skin Color over Principle. Sorry, Mitt Romney, you didn’t lose because you were too conservative, you were just too damned white. Perhaps if you’d been born with a different skin color?
Donald Trump – the third and last guy in her listing – fought like a rabid dog to win the primary election, attacking his conservative opponents like they were fodder and feast for the Trump Train pulling out of the station. He didn’t need the conservative votes, he brought his own liberal/socialist voters from the other side of the aisle to procure his nomination for Republican Candidate. But he doesn’t have a conservative bone in his orange dog body and the hair halo isn’t fooling anyone about his ungodly behavior. Beyond that, he doesn’t WANT or NEED any of the Republican Conservative American votes, and he’ll readily tell you that. Nor is he going to make ANY EFFORT whatsoever to obtain those votes, because AGAIN, he doesn’t WANT OR NEED them. He didn’t intend to WIN the General Election – he is only running to cap off the Hillary Vote with non-votes from Conservative Americans.
From this point on, he will NEVER attack Hillary Clinton on any of the issues of the General Election Race.
She is not his opponent, and never has been. From the start, Donald J. Trump set out to help Hillary WIN the ELECTION and his whole specter of production campaigning has been for that purpose – to assist Hillary with ‘getting the vote’.
I’m curious to know what will happen if he does win. I really want to know how that will go, because at that point, he will be another of Hillary Clinton’s friends who betrayed her by doing their jobs. What then?
